2nd Cathedral Night in partnership with the traditional Fêtes Jeanne Hachette
- Saturday, June 28, 9:30 pm Parvis de la cathédrale, Beauvais
To mark the 800th anniversary of Beauvais Cathedral, the Nuits Cathédrales (Cathedral Nights) program offers free, open-air night-time shows, accessible to the widest possible audience, on themes linked to the monument and its history.
Luc Arbogast, whose concert is the centerpiece of this second cathedral night dedicated to joy as well as celebration, is not just an atypical singer discovered in the course of a television program (his appearance on season 2 of The Voice made a lasting impression and launched his fame), he's a sound researcher, a creator of universes capable, with his distinctive counter-tenor voice, of giving birth to medieval pop, accessible to the greatest number of people, performed on rare instruments, with rich literary inspirations and the sharpest historical references.
In tune with this concert, the processions of the Jeanne Hachette festivities, with their precious costumes, their love of heritage and their investment in the life of the city, will roam the streets of the city, inviting Beauvaisians to an evening of joyous celebration of the cathedral's octocentenary.
Focus on the Association des Amis des Fêtes Jeanne Hachette
Since 1978, our association has organized the Fêtes Jeanne Hachette, celebrating the heroic act of resistance of a young Beauvais woman in the face of a Burgundian siege in 1472.
Every year, on the last weekend of June, Beauvais celebrates the courage of the people of Beauvais, and of women in particular.
